T21660 Robert Sorby 3/4" HSS Bowl Gouge without Handle
A Sorby gouge offering turners the pinnacle in handcrafted perfection.
A must in the tool kit of every bowl turner, the T216601 3/4" HSS Bowl Gouge are ideal for making bowls.
The noticeable difference about this gouge is that it does not come with a handle. Robert Sorby designed this gouge to fit the Sovereign Turning System.
The handle itself comes in two lengths including the
T21644
16" Sovereign Handle and
T21647
22" Sovereign Handle.
Milled from round bar, giving both mass and stability, these tools can produce either massive profiling cuts or delicate finishing cuts.
HSS (high-speed steel) has been heat treated for hardness and wear resistance, which keeps a sharp edge longer than other carbon steels.
